time. Rivera crossed the line in 16:57, while master’s winner Steve
O’Neil took third in 17:12.
GSH swept the women’s race again as Kris
Ross caught early leader Heather Wenninger just
beyond the first kilometer and gradually pulled away to a 20:19 victory. Wenninger ran
20:59 for 2nd while Mary Misiaszek took 3rd in
22:59.
Robert Knowlton ventured down from
the Pittsfield hills for his annual jaunt, and in only 29 minutes and 46 seconds became
the oldest runner to ever finish the Forest Park course. The eighty year old Harrier not
only notched his 7th consecutive age record, but he outran five runners in the
process, spotting each of them between 18 and 63 years.
