                         Fois and Duquette Breeze

            On a windy but sunny day, Harrier teammates Joe Fois and Elizabeth Duquette breezed to comfortable victories in the 8 kilometer Summer Sizzler. Joe cruised the Forest Park roads in 30:32 while notching his 9th lifetime Summer Sizzler crown. Gary Cote (32:18) edged Rick Pacheco (32:22) for runner-up honors and the master’s title, while John Pashko (35:09) was the first senior.
            Elizabeth, in winning her 32nd lifetime Summer Sizzler, lowered the age record for 47 year old women to 34:15, slicing another minute and a half from the record she had set a month ago. Shannon Johnson placed second in 56:02 with her mom Beth Johnson third in 57:33. 
Eli Johnson became the youngest runner ever to complete the eight thousand meter course as the seven year old Harrier crossed the finish line in 54:22, outrunning Dad, Mom and his older sister.
