        Rivera Closes In; White Wins Her First

         Carlos Rivera won his sixth Summer Sizzler of the year and 41st lifetime to move within ½ win of list leader Celio Hernandez. Carlos easily outran the mostly master and senior runners who braved the threatening skies and cool temperatures as the GSHer soloed around the outskirts of Forest Park in a respectable 27:43. Master Rich Clark led the rest in 31:10 while senior Seth Roberts garnered 3rd in 31:52.
          Mary Lou White captured her first Summer Sizzler title in 48:07.
