Clark Captures Wide Open Summer Sizzler

Knowing that all the speedsters would be resting for the Fourth of July showdown in downtown Springfield the next morning, club president Pete Stasz thought he might be able to steal a Summer Sizzler win. Unfortunately for him, eleven other runners showed up with similar larcenous intent.
The fastest was EORC’s Dan Clark who legged in up and down the Harrier cross country course in 23:09 to garner his first ever Summer Sizzler victory. Harrier Tom Dwyer (24:02) and Brian Goddu (24:41) made a race of it to finish second and third. For Brian it was a remarkable comeback from a nasty fall (broken shoulder) suffered just a few short weeks ago on the course.
A candidate for the hollowed Harrier Iron Foot award?!
