                      Nelson Holds Off Lombardi
                                    Langevin Edges Matthews

           On a pleasant day for a jaunt around Forest Park, Enfield resident Brian Nelson (27:17) captured his first Summer Sizzler title by holding off a fast closing Ron Lombardi (27:21). Ron had dictated the pace through the first 6K of the race before easing at the hill by the Forest Park Skatehouse (home of the winter Snowstorm Classics). Brian took advantage and opened up a sufficient lead to withstand Ron’s late race resurgence. Scott Sutter cruised across for 3rd in 29:08.
           Tim Brown finished 4th overall in 30:06 for the master’s crown while Art Roberts claimed senior honors in 33:28.
           Wheaton College bound Christina Langevin (33:36) earned her second consecutive victory on the 8K course by slicing 15 seconds off her time of two weeks ago to edge Harrier teammate Megan Matthews (33:44) by eight seconds. Laura Hurley took 3rd in 36:49
