        Teenager Outruns Elders, Mary Ferraro Wins # 5

              Matt Dennis joined the Sizzler Hall of Fame as one of the youngest winners in the 24 year history of the Summer Sizzlers. The fifteen year old yearling raced around the outskirts of Forest Park in 30:41 to edge veteran claiming horse Rich Clark by just five seconds.  No relation Dan Clark won the senior title in 34:05. 
              Mary Ferraro’s first effort on the 8K road course nearly resulted in another overall win, but the speedy Harrier had to settle for third place overall, plenty good enough to capture her fifth women’s title of the season. Kristin Ashe continued to improve with a 2nd place 34:55 clocking while SMACer Madeline Nagy took 3rd in 35:43.
