11 Down Only 9 To Go
 The Summer Sizzler Series for the 2006 season is more than halfway over. 11 races have taken place with 251 participants. There are only 9 races left before the series ends on August 30th.

The humidity starting creeping in so that it was noticeable to the 25 race participants. Muscle cramping was a common complaint at the conclusion of the race.

 Harrier Carlos Rivera ran the 8K course in under 30 minutes (29:56) securing his 1st first place finish for the 2006 Summer Sizzler Series with Art Fredericks (31:25) coming in 2nd followed by senior harrier Rich Clark (31:44).

1st female and  4th overall was Laurie Yorgesen (32:28) followed by harrier Meghan Lynch (36:07) with master harrier Barbara Bosworth (39:42) coming in 3rd for the women.

1st master was Glen Golba (36:08) and 1st junior was 19 year old John Vaughn (37:02).  SMACer Don Grant (46:10) was the first veteran finisher. The weekly predicted time winner was Ruben Rios, he was only 1 second off of his predicted time.
