Summer Sizzler #14 - 5K
July 19, 2006

Temperatures were pleasant this evening after having 3 days of 90+ temperatures.

Some overgrown weeds and downed branches were the only obstacles for the 14 race participants on the challenging cross country course.

Harrier Mike Lemay (20:44) secured his second summer sizzler win for the 2006 season followed by Pete Gillen (21:49) and coming in third was Doug Cummings (23:24).

First female was Melissa Boisselle with a time of 25:16 and the first junior was 17 year old Dave Miller (27:39). First senior was Mike Thomes (25:06) and first veteran was EORC’s Bob Massaro finishing with a time of (28:06).

The talk of the evening was the fantastic run of 6 year old harrier Bill Carroll (37:10). Bill volunteers on a regular basis and wanted to get a first hand look at the 5K cross country course.

This weeks predicted time winner was Mike Lemay.  Mike was within 4 seconds of his predicted time.

A special thanks to the volunteers of the week, Brian Goddu, Pete Stasz, Colleen Cummings, John Murphy and Bruce Kurtz
