Season Finale
Chris Gabrielson and Beth Hegarty finish the last in first
Finally on the last week of the series some decent
temperatures! But this winter is not quite done yet. Not by a long
shot. The heavy rain and snow melt coupled with freezing temperatures
during the overnight meant a good part of the course was various degrees of
little slippery to downright treacherous. Nobody went down and a good time was
had by all. Chris Gabrielson strolled in for his second
win in 6:08 pace, quite respectable considering the conditions. Beth
Hegarty won comfortably in 46:48.
In
the
male points
standings, Clinton Morse, Aston Demas and Dan
McNair take the top three spots.
For the female point
standings Stephanie Yeomans, Mary Guertin and
Kristine Valentini also take top honors.

The Greater Springfield Harriers Summer Sizzler series starts on Saturday April
19 with the annual kick-off race
then continues each Wednesday through August alternating between a 5k Cross
Country race and a 8k road race
