For the second week in a
row, a long-standing age
record is erased as Manchester Running Company's Melissa Stellato
throws down an impresive 18:15. The previous mark of 19:11 was set way
back on Feb 18, 1989 by local top harrier, Sidney Letendre ( Chastain).
This was Melissa's 5th
Snowstorm victory in as many appearances and also her fastest as she now
ranks 9th all time.
Holyoke High standout Byran Dec put
his
4:28.x mile speed on display powering his way to his first Snowstorm victory
in a swift 16:34 a minute in front of Palmer HS grad Henry Domansrski.
Entering into the 2nd half of the 10 week point series, Ken
Clark puts 14 points into Matt Geanacopoulos, who were locked in a tie
last week, for the overall top spot
for the men - which is where
Dan McNair and Steve Virgadaula find themselves now for the 3rd spot overall. On
the women's side,
Colleen Cummings has taken a commanding lead in the absence of
Dawn Roberts. Dawn still is holding onto 2nd place over
Stephanie Yeomans
