Snowstorm Classic #2 - 5K December 8th, 2012

Keith Lehuta and Beth Krassemann notch victories enroute to a first Mother / Son record day?

While we're sill wating for our staff statsitician to return with confirmation,  I'll go ahead and report this may be the first time a Mother / Son tandem registered age records in the same race.  Just ahead of an impressive win in 19:05 recorded by 39 year old Springfield Harrier  Beth Krasemann,  Daniel Krasemann was doing something even more impressive - knocking off a full minute Billy Carroll's previous mark for 11 year olds, coming in at a sizzling 18:51.  Meanwhile Kieth Lehuta ran to his first Snowstorm victory (I believe) just as second place finisher Andy Brower did the week before. Veteran runners Rich Larsen (18:23, 5th overall) and Frank Rucki 20:11 were also making Snowstorm history today, giving thier respective 61 and 63 age record a trimming. I was busy in other parts of the country this week, participating in the USATF National Club X-C Championships in Lexington, KY where the Harrier's mens masters team scored an impressive 2nd place finish against some very talented and deep teams.  So I'll assume the same people we count on week in and week out were once again giving up ther Saturday mornings for our runners.
