Location: Northampton, Ma.
From the west end of Main Street bear left up the hill onto
Route 66 (West Street). Drive 1 mile (over a bridge and up a
hill) bearing right at the blinking light. Prince street becomes
Burt"s Pit Road Race start is 1/4 mile on right, just past
NORTHAMPTON COMMUNITY GARDENS sign.
START: Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m. from APRIL 4th to
AUGUST 29th.
TO ENTER: Adults $3, under 18 free at race site 30
minutes before the race. You must sign our waiver of
responsibility statement. In the grand tradition of
cross-country running we hold our race regardless of the weather
. However, if there is lighting we will delay the start.
COURSE: 5K / 3.1 miles on dirt roads and trails
through fields and woods by the Mill Rover . Very will marked.
Footing rough and uneven. Low and fallen braches. We averaged 70
runners per race in 2016.
AMENITIES: Records posted by single ages. Fruits,
cookies and juice after the race. Age group prizes. Results set
to newspapers and
