Kent Lemme and the Men's Masters Team take home the USATF New England Cross Country Championship!

Led by a one-two sweep from Kent Lemme and Francis Burdett, the Harrier's Masters Men won the USATF New England Cross Country Championship held at Franklin Park in Boston. Beating out Dirigo RC 52-65, Lemme won the race 8k race in a time of 26:10 with fellow Harrier Francis Burdett taking 2nd in a time of 26:25. Mike Nahom followed closely to place 4th, clocking 26:38. Fourth and fifth for the Harriers were Ron Lombardi (27:31) and Chris Gould (28:31). Other runners for the Harrier's included Paul Fratini (28:38) and Brent Coon (32:10) in the Master's race as well as Carlos Rivera (35:22) in the Open 10k.

The Masters look to continue there winning ways at the USATF National Club Cross Country Championship happening December 12th in Lexington, Kentucky! The results for USATF NE can be found here.

Also on Sunday, the team of Bob Landry, Seth Roberts, and Joe Fois took third at the Monson Memorial Half Marathon. Landry led the team in 13th place with a 1:19:23. Results

GSH Women Place 2nd at Baystate Marathon behind Meg Mathew-Hegarty's 3rd place finish!
In a mix of cold rain and snow, the Harriers headed out to Lowell, MA for the New England Grand Prix Marathon Championship. The women's open team placed an impressive 2nd to the Greater Boston Track Club. Taking home third place, Meg Mathews-Hegarty dipped under the 3 hour mark with a time of 2:59:02. Kathy Lynch, who took third place in the Master's Division, was second for the club in 3:10:08 and Maryann Solomos was the third women across the line clocking a 3:42:25. The Men's open team was lead by an outstanding 2:35:11 performance from Mike Brouillette. Brouillette's 12th place finish was followed by Robert Landy's 28th 2:45:11. The open team's 5th place finish was rounded out by Mike Lescarbeau's 3:14:08.
